Blank Canvas started in 2019 with a simple bet: that a small team of senior people, working closely with clients instead of behind a wall of account managers, would just make better things.
Our Story
Blank Canvas grew out of a frustration with how agency work usually gets done — too many hand-offs between strategy, design, and development, and too much distance between the people making decisions and the people doing the work.
So we built the opposite. A team small enough that everyone knows every project, structured so the person who designs your interface is in the room when it's being scoped, and the person building it is part of the design conversation from day one.
Seven years and dozens of projects later, that's still how we work — with a small number of clients, at any given time, who we can give real attention to.

Discover
We start by asking better questions than the brief gives us — about your users, your competitors, and what success actually looks like six months out.
Define
Research becomes a point of view: a positioning statement, a sitemap, a set of design principles everyone on the team can point to.
Design
We design in the browser as much as possible, moving from low-fidelity structure to high-fidelity detail in tight feedback loops with you.
Build
Clean, maintainable code — not a pile of exported layers. We build what we design, so nothing gets lost in translation.
Launch & Support
We stay on after launch to watch how it performs in the wild, and to make sure your team can run with it independently.
